phone call

So I just called a girl I've been talking to on-line for several weeks. Her name is Jenn. This was to be our first conversation.
The conversation could not have gone any worse. Apparently I woke her out of a deep sleep. She had no idea who I was "Who's Charlie McCann???". God help me.
So what do you do in a situation like that? Do you keep trying to explain who you are and what you want?
No me. I hung up.
She called back ten minutes later and wanted to know who I was.
